On-campus blood drive

The American Red Cross is hosting a blood drive Thursday, June 16 in Stotler Lounge of Memorial Student Union on the University of Missouri-Columbia campus in Columbia, Mo. Elisabeth McClung, a collections specialist for the American Red Cross, said this blood drive is not designated for a certain cause, such as Joplin, Mo., after the tornado. According to McClung, this drive is a regularly scheduled event on the MU campus. “[The American Red Cross] have timed it so that all the kids who gave at the last Mizzou blood drive are eligible to give again today,” McClung said. The blood drive is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
